PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evaluation method for optical disk capable of accurately measuring C/N of an optical disk subjected to a tracking control by a sample servo method without being influenced by a servo signal from a servo signal area by selecting and calculating a data signal from a data signal area of the reproducing signal. SOLUTION: A servo signal area S is discretely formed and a data signal area D is formed between individual servo signal areas S to evaluate an optical disk. In this evaluation, an optical disk device reproduces a signal from the optical disk of an object for an evaluation, selects a signal from the data signal area D from this reproduced signal, and calculates C/N based on the selected data signal. And, the optical disk is evaluated according to the C/N calculated like this. |
