The system comprises a central unit and, for each wheel, and a measurement sensor (6) fixed mechanically to the wheel. A rotating aerial (25) is connected electrically to the measurement sensor and is fitted with the sensor into a small size box. A fixed aerial (23) is solidly attached to the wheel support and connected electrically to the central unit. Mechanical coupling pieces (26) placed in the vicinity of the wheel and support provide an electromagnetic coupling between the fixed and rotating aerials. The central unit provides energy to the sensors and analyses the signals returned by these sensors. The mechanical coupling pieces are mounted concentric with the wheel and arranged so that variation of magnetic flux produced by an aerial induces current in the piece and the reverse effect occurs at the other aerial.
