PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve insertibility into blood vessel and make performance constant as well as improving formability of a guide wire and reducing cost, in a medical guide wire in which a coil spring which is formed by serially connecting a nonradiation-transmitting coil part and a radiation transmitting coil part is fittedly-attached to a head part of a fine main wire member. SOLUTION: A coil spring 3 of a single coil body is woundly-formed by means of a coil element wire 10 of a fine single wire which is formed by diameter-reducing and wire-extending a large diameter main wire 9 which is formed by butt welding both heads of a radiation transmitting wire material 7 made of platinum-nickel alloy and of a nonradiation-transmitting wire material 8 made of austenitic stainless steel wire. And the coil spring 3 is fittedly- attached to a main wire member 2, and a extending/dispersing layer 13 in which atoms and molecules from two wire menmbers are dispersed/extended from one direction to the other is provided on a connecting point of two wire members, and this extending/-dispersing layer 13 is made functioned as a gradually altering zone/buffering zone of bending deforming of the coil spring 3. |
