FIELD: draft tubes of high-pressure hydroturbines. SUBSTANCE: cone has upper band 1 with lower flange 4, detachable band 2 with upper flange 7 for connecting upper band 1 and lower flange 8 for connecting the elbow 3 of draft tube. Lower end of upper band 1 has bead 5 with cylindrical outer surface 6 and upper end of detachable band 2 has recess 9 with cylindrical surface 10; this recess is engageable with cylindrical surfaces 6 of bead 5. End surface of one engageable flange (4 or 7) of upper band 1 or detachable band 2 directed to other flange is conical at. Large angle of cone opening, stay wedges 13 being mounted between these flanges. Detachable band 2 is sectional in form with longitudinal flange joints; sector ring 15 adjoining band 2 has circular bead 16 and bolts 17 passed through it for tightening ring 15 around sealing cord 18. EFFECT: high rigidity of attachment of detachable band both axially and radially; increased strength of connecting units.
