PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ink by dispersing a specific organic pigment into an aqueous solvent, excellent in printing quality, weather resistance and long-term shelf stability, causing no clogging, useful for ink jet recording. SOLUTION: (A) An organic pigment (e.g. one having <=100nm, especially <=50nm particle diameter) made hydrophilic by adsorbing a low-molecular compound (e.g. a compound containing an aromatic ring, nitrogen, -C2 H4 O- unit, having <=2,000 molecular weight) is dispersed into (B) an aqueous solvent and mixed with (C) a high-molecular weight compound (e.g. one containing an aromatic ring, nitrogen, -C2 H4 O- unit, having >=5,000 molecular weight). |
