PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the rupture of a suture part between a facing material for covering a case opening and a facing material for covering a seat in the expansion of an air bag in a side part air bag device buried in the seat. SOLUTION: In an air bag device in which a facing material 5 for covering an air bag case opening part 3a and a facing material 6 for covering a seat surface are sutured together near the air bag case opening part 3a, and the sewing yarn 8 of this suture part 7 is ruptured by a prescribed expanding pressure of an air bag 2, thereby breaking the suture part 7, a strip body 10 for suppressing the elongation of the seat side facing material 6 is arranged, extending over the seat side facing material 6 of the suture part 7 and a fixing member 9 such as a seat frame. The fixing member side end part 10b of the strip body 10 is fixed to the fixing member 9, and the facing material side end part 10a of the strip body 10 is sewed to the seat side facing material 6 by the sewing yarn 8 of the suture part 7. |
