PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a printing sheet which can give a pattern, which is resistant against a sand eraser and wiping with sweat even without an over coat, appropriately by thermal transfer method etc., and indicates good abrasion resistance. SOLUTION: In a sheet for printing 1 which is made from ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene with viscometric molecular weight of 300,000-10,000,000 and has a porous ink receiving layer with average pore diameter of 100μm or less, a printing sheet is prepared by giving a pattern 2 of an ink to the ink receiving layer, and in the printing sheet, the ink which forms the pattern 2 penetrates into the pores of the ink receiving layer. The ink is made to penetrate automatically into the pares of the ink receiving layer while the pattern 2 being formed so that the printing sheet is obtained which has a good property for preserving the pattern 2. |
