PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a discharge paper jamming from occurring even if the number of stock sheets is increased, in a copying machine of a vertical paper discharge type. SOLUTION: In an optical unit 11, a paper transport guide rib 13 provided with a curved part 12 from a back surface to the side surface is disposed. In the optical unit 11, a cooling fan 14 is provided, which also serves for cooling the inside, and its air inlet is disposed in a range of the guide rib 13. The surface of paper discharge tray 15 opposite to the guide rib 13 is made to be a sloped stock surface 16. The transfer paper 1 discharged from a fixing unit 2 in the horizontal direction is transported in the vertical direction, while being sucked to the guide rib 13 by sucking force of the cooling fan 14, and after the transfer paper 1 is completely discharged from the fixing unit 2, it is separated from the guide rib 13 by stopping rotation of the cooling fan 14, made to descend along the stock surface 16 and stocked in the paper discharge tray 15 in the vertical direction on reaching a bottom part 17 of the paper discharge tray 15. |
