摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device which detects an optical characteristic value of a transparent material with reliability and reproducibility. SOLUTION: The titled device for measuring a characteristic value of a transparent sample has a lighting means 1 which has a light source and is so provided that the beam from the light source is substantially propagated along a specified optical axis 3, a sample accommodating space 9 provided between the lighting means 1 and a measuring means, the measuring means having a closed measuring space 8 provided with an opening 12 where the beam, after passing the sample, is made incident, and a photo-detection means 2 provided with at least two detectors such as a first detector, which is sensitive to the beam within at least a specified wavelength range and disposed on the optical axis 3 of the lighting means 1, and a second detector disposed at a specified distance in the radial direction from the optical axis 3.
