PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic assembly device which can be lessened in assembly time by a method wherein a rotary pad is rotated at a support and positioned separate from a stationary pad by a prescribed space, and a contact is set on a base pad located on the support. SOLUTION: A moving pad 43 is moved between a part feeder 38 which feeds a contact 14 and a support 26 which supports a connector insulating base pad. A first contact 14 fed from the part feeder 38 is placed on the stationary pad 46 provided on the moving pad 43, a second contact 14 placed on a rotary pad 52 provided on the moving pad 43 in a freely rotatable manner, and the moving pad 43 is moved to a support 26 side. The rotary pad 52 is rotated by an angle of 180 deg. at the support 26 and positioned separate from the stationary pad 46 by a prescribed space. Then, a longitudinally movable extruder 34 is moved to a support 26 side, and the first and the second contact 14 are pushed towards a support 26 side and set on both the sides of the base pad on the support 26. |
