HARDENER FOR EPOXY RESINS AND THEIR COMPOSITES

The hardener is based on the equilibrium mixture of boric acid and fluorhydric acid. Its composition is given by the process of production during which boric acid, fluorhydric acid, polyhydroxyl compounds of the polyhydric alcohol type, alkylene glycol and polyalkylene glycol at first undergo the mutual reaction in the specified ratios. Afterwards, the created mixture is exposed to reaction with epichlorhydrine, possibly by adding diester and/or polyester that is derived from dicarboxylic acids and monohydric to trihydric alcohols. Finally, water, or possibly phosphoric acid, is added to the intermediate product, which is prepared in this way.
