PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively utilize an updated viewing restriction table. SOLUTION: A RAM 12 of a digital broadcasting receiver is provided with a table storing part 121 for storing viewing restriction table information and a set condition storing part 122 for storing set condition information showing whether to execute viewing restriction, an MPU 11 is provided with a table acquiring part 111 for acquiring viewing restriction table information, a first deciding part 112 for deciding whether the acquired viewing restriction table information coincides with the viewing restriction table information stored in the table storing part 121, a second deciding part 113 for deciding whether the set condition storing part 122 has stored information showing that viewing restriction is executed and a display control part 114 for displaying guidance information showing that new viewing restriction table information has been acquired on a display 183 only when it is decided that the information has been stored.
