PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce load required for acquiring/correcting the movement information of a picture necessary for picture processing such as false stereoscopic display. SOLUTION: The movement of a picture is detected from a moving vector added at the time of encoding and the depth of each part of the picture is calculated to display a false stereoscopic image. The picture is decoded by an MPEG decoder 20. A moving vector correcting circuit 28 corrects the moving vector signal to generate depth information. A moving vector detecting circuit 40 detects the moving vector signal by a format suitable to a post stage circuit from the corrected moving vector signal and outputs the detected signal. Since an existing moving vector signal is used as movement information, the load of calculation is extremely reduced. |
