PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate trouble such as deterioration in color reproducibility due to sticking on a monitor by erasing or switching a preview image displayed on the monitor to a specific image when a specific key of an operation part is operated. SOLUTION: A CPU 240 sets process parameters for performing a specified process in a color conversion part 205. At this point of time, the process parameters required for color conversion are all obtained, so an operator can indicate a preview by pressing a preview key, etc., of the operation part 500. Namely, once the preview is indicated, an original image is read and the image signal flows, so that a preview image is displayed on the monitor 219. When the preview is not indicated, this process is ended and the system is put back into the previous state. The operator observes the preview image and presses an OK key, etc., of the operation part 500 when a desired color conversion result is obtained, thereby indicating the end of the process. Namely, an event is erased by using an existent key which causes no trouble even when the preview image is erased. |
