PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a U-shaped ferrite core having excellent productivity and gap dimensions of high precision. SOLUTION: In a U-shaped ferrite core 1 with two leg sections 2 and a connecing section connecting these leg sections 2, the abutting surfaces 3 of each leg section 2 are formed in an arcuate shape, and the difference G of the highest sections and lowest sections of the leg sections 2 is set 1μm or larger.
