A process for mfg. 3-D models or moulds uses rapid prototyping principles for building up a structure in layers.The individual layers are processed by mechanical, chemical or physical methods in the X-Y plane as the layers are built up and the methods and order of layer application and processing can be varied to permit use of a wide variety of different materials.
