<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To judge whether an indoor heat exchanger freezes or not depending on a room temperature changing during the cooling operation of an air conditioner and controlling the cooling operation in accordance with the result. SOLUTION: An air conditioner comprises a room temperature sensing means 40 for sensing a room temperature changing during a cooling operation, a control means 30 for judging whether an indoor heat exchanger freezes or not from the room temperature sensed by the room temperature sensing means 40 and controlling a cooling operation from the result of the decision, a compressor driving means 60 for controlling a compressor to be driven to carry out a defrosting operation under the control of the control means 30 and an indoor fan motor driving means 80 for controlling an indoor fan to be driven to carry out a defrosting operation.</p> |
