摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly control the speed ratio of a torque converter by providing a means for changing an ordinary target speed ratio to a maximum driving force speed ratio when the rate of the change of an engine load becomes equal to or above the preset value. SOLUTION: The ordinary target speed ratio eEC0N0MY of a torque converter in the ordinary drive mode of a vehicle is calculated on the basis of throttle opening. Furthermore, an engine load change rate calculation means M2 calculates a rate of change as the time differential value of throttle opening detected with a throttle opening detection means. Also, when the rate of the change of the throttle opening becomes equal to or above the preset value, or when a driver steps down an accelerator pedal for the sudden acceleration of a vehicle, the slip amount of the torque converter is increased to give a torque amplification effect, and transient control is thereby performed to accelerate the vehicle. Then, a target speed rate selection means M5 changes the ordinary target speed ratio eEC0N0MY to a maximum driving force speed ratio eP0WER calculated with a maximum driving force speed rate calculation means M3.
