PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase power applied to a fuel pump motor in the case, particularly, of improper utilizable voltage, in a fuel supply system for an internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: A fuel supply system 10 for an internal combustion engine is provided with a fuel pump 12 driven by an electric motor 14 and an electronic control circuit 24 applying power from a DC power source 22 to the motor 14. In the electronic control circuit 24, in response to a voltage level in the DC power source, when its obtained voltage is decreased to a prescribed level, applied power to the electric motor 14 is automatically increased. In a suitable example, the electric motor 14 is a DC motor, the electronic control circuit 24 takes a form of DC-DC converter including a transformed and a rectifier circuit connecting this transformer to the electric motor 14. When voltage obtained in the DC power source is improper, a power switch applies an AC current to the transformer, and power applied to the motor through the rectifier circuit is increased. |
