PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate generation of damage in the surface of an abrasive cutting wheel due to abrasive cutting chips, and to prolong the lifetime even in the case where a blade thickness of the abrasive cutting wheel is thin, and to accurately cut material to be cut. SOLUTION: In an abrasive cutting wheel, in which diamond abrasive grains or CBN abrasive grains are fixed to the ends of a wheel bed plate, the surface of the wheel bed plate made of cemented carbide is coated with super hard material layer at 0.5-15μm of thickness by a PVD method.
