PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To temporarily store the heat and moisture of the exhalation of a patient and use part of them for heating and humidifying the cold and dry inhalation. SOLUTION: This heat moisture exchanger has an exchanger element 10 constituted of a bundle of hollow fiber bodies 11 arranged in parallel with exhalation/inhalation air currents flowing in them. The fiber bodies 11 are made of a polymer a sulfone, and they are applied with a hygroscopic material. The binding of the fiber bodies 11 is held by an outside sleeve, and caps 13 bored with holes are fitted at both ends of the binding. |
