PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a proper starting compensation without being affected by vibration, etc., generated during the period of time from stopping an elevator to starting of operation of a braking device. SOLUTION: An unbalanced torque detecting device 92 is made of a limit switch provided on a braking device 9 and a cam provided on the side of a winding machine. After an elevator is stopped and the braking device 9 is operated, generated unbalanced torque is detected from displacement of the braking device 9 by means of the unbalanced torque detecting device 92, and when the displacement detected by the unbalanced torque detecting device 92 exceeds a specified set value, an encoder 7 detects the direction of unbalanced torque to give a specified starting compensating torque. |
