PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an adenovirus vector capable of specifically expressing a cerebellar Purkinje cell, being utilized for the introduction of a gene into a neurocyte and effectively expressing a molecule having a function for a matured neurocyte, and being utilized for the researches of gene functions, the therapy of encephalophathy, etc. SOLUTION: This new adenovirus vector specifically expresses a cerebellar Purkinje cell or an oligodendrocyte, can be utilized for the introduction of a gene into a neurocyte, and is useful for a gene-expressing system specific to the neurocyte, does not have especially remarkable toxicity, can effectively express a molecule having a function for a matured neurocyte, and can be utilized for the researches of gene functions, the therapy of encephalophathy, etc. The adenovirus vector is obtained by inserting a foreign gene lacZ as a histochemical reporter gene into the defective site of Adex defected in the regions of E1A, E1B and E3 in the presence of a cosmid of non-multiplying human adenovirus type 5 and subsequently ligating the product to a proper promoter. |
