<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make easy the accuracy control of vibration detecting positions and to provide an inexpensive vibration transfer plate and an inexpensive coordinate input device by using a piezoelectric material to form the vibration transfer plate. SOLUTION: Vibration generated by a vibrator 4 of a vibration input pen 3 is inputted to a vibration transfer plate 8 having piezoelectric property. When vibration propagated on the vibration transfer plate 8 reaches each of four electrodes 6a-6d arranged at prescribed positions of the vibration transfer plate 8, an electric signal, based on the vibration is taken out from each electrode. A signal wave form detecting circuit 9 detects the vibration reaching each electrode, based on this electric signal. An arithmetic control circuit 1 calculates the coordinates of the vibration input position, based on the reaching timing of the vibration. Since the arrangement of the electrodes 6a-6d on the vibration transfer plate 8 is realized by a technique such as etching or printing, the accuracy control of the vibration detecting positions is notably made easy.</p> |
