PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject film composed of a polystyrene having syndiotactic structure and specific inorganic fine particles, satisfying a specific condition, having excellent transparency and slipperiness and useful e.g. as a substrate for photographic film. SOLUTION: This film is a drawn film (preferably a biaxially drawn film) composed of (A) a polystyrene having syndiotactic structure and (B) inorganic fine particles (preferably crushed silica, quartz glass or natural quartz) having a refractive index of 1.3-1.7 and dispersed in the component A at a ratio of 0.001-0.1wt.% based on the component A and satisfies the formula 100.H/T<=3 ]H is the haze value (%) of the drawn film; T is thickness (μm) of the drawn film[. The primary particle of the component B preferably has a specific surface area of 5-45m<2> /g, a pore volume of 0.001-0.1ml/g and an average particle diameter of 0.05-5.0μm. The thickness of the drawn film is preferably 50-200μm. |
