The rotating electric machine includes a stator (4) with windings inserted in slots in the stator. A rotor (1) has a central axis (2) and poles (5, 6) in the form of pole pieces (8, 9) with windings and forming solenoids. There are rotor pole gaps (13) between the poles. Coil supports (15, 16) are positioned in the pole gaps so as to support the windings. - The coil supports are arranged in pairs. Each support is shaped so that it supports only a part of the solenoid windings of the two adjacent poles. Two coil supports in a pair are arranged axially and radially displaced in relation to each other so as to allow a cooling gas to flow between them. |
