PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a cylindrical member having no projecting part on the outer peripheral face without increasing production processes by welding at least one side of the axial direction end part of an abutted face. SOLUTION: A materiel 1, which is slightly expanded caused by spring back and whose abutting faces are slightly apart, is fitted into a holding hole 5a of a holding means 5 and the end face of material 1 is slightly protruded from the holding hole 5a. The material 1 is formed into a cylindrical form in complete roundness with the abutted faces 1a tightly stuck by the holding means 5. After the end face of the material 1 is spot welded with a laser beam welding mechanism 6, the material 1 turned to the cylindrical form is pulled out from the holding means 5 and production is completed. By this method, the welded part is located at the end face of abutted faces 1a, the cylindrical member is produced so that a projecting part due to welding is not generated on the outer periphery face of the cylindrical member. |
