Pluggable slide-in equipment modules - are constructed in various sizes from extruded section elements that located on guide rails in equipment housing

A slide in module is produced from profiled extruded sections and has two main side units [1,2] with tip sections shaped to fit against spacer elements [3,4] that can be of various sizes to change the overall size of the module. The module locates in an equipment housing that has guide rails [7,8] with grooves [10] engaged by the features [11] on the module. The rails fit into register locations [9] the housing frame [5]. The register locations are positioned in increments to allow optimum arrangement of modules.
