A plasma torch, a portion of which is adapted to be contacted with a work (8) while plasma arc from an electrode (1) is permitted to jet from a torch nozzle together with a working gas which inflows from circumference of the electrode. That portion of the plasma torch which contacts with the work is constituted by a non-insulating material, and high frequency bypass means (12) is provided between a portion, which has the same electric potential as the torch nozzle (2), and a portion, which has the same electric potential as the work.
