PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nitriding steel sheet combining wear resistance, fatigue resisting strength, and seizure resistance, used for tools, parts for machine structural use, and automobile parts, and excellent in press formability and also to provide a press formed body excellent in workability and wear resistance. SOLUTION: This steel sheet is a nitriding steel sheet excellent in formability, having a composition consisting of, by weight ratio, 0.010-0.080% C, <=1.00% Si, <=3.00% Mn, <=0.150% P, >0.150-5.00% Cr, >0.060-2.00% Al, further either or both of 0.010 to <4×C% Ti and 0.010-1.00% V, and the balance iron with inevitable impurities. Further, this press formed body is composed of the steel sheet and has a hard nitride layer at least on one side.
