PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the easy attachment and detachment of an ink cartridge by a method wherein the ink leaked from the ink cartridge is prevented from widely adhering to the outside of the ink cartridge. SOLUTION: The bottom part of the cartridge housing part 28d of a head holder 28, on which a recording head 31 is held, is provided with an ink retaining part 28f having a large number of grooves 28g. As a result, the ink leaked from an ink cartridge 35 is retained in the ink retaining part 28f and the drying of the ink is accelerated by the capillary action of the grooves 28g, resulting in preventing the ink from thinly spreading over the outside of the ink cartridge 35. |
