<p>An apparatus for shredding plastics waste, such as cups, bottles, pots and the like made of plastic, has a housing 1, in which cutters 9 are mounted rotatably about a vertical axis 8. Provided in the housing wall 11 adjacent to the circumference of the cutters 8 are outlet openings 14 for the shredded parts of plastic. Provided on the housing inner wall 11 after the outlet opening 14 in the direction of rotation of the cutters 8 are deflecting vanes 12, which direct the shredded parts of plastic in the direction of the outlet openings 14. The deflecting vanes 12 have slits for the ends of the cutters to pass through, the bounding edges of these slits 13 forming counter-cutters which interact with the cutters 9 and thereby improve the shredding. <IMAGE></p> |
