<p>A seatbelt device that eliminate the necessity of increasing the amount in which a passenger moves which is otherwise caused by increasing the amount in which a seatbelt is fed out more than required and that efficiently reduces the impact applied to the passenger at the time of collision even with a vehicle that is susceptible to a large impact. A fuse belt (5) is provided in a waist belt (26b) positioned in the vicinity of an anchor plate (14) for feeding out the waist belt (26b) when a tensile load greater than a predetermined value is applied to a continuous webbing (26). In addition, an energy absorbing mechanism is provided on a retractor (10) with a clamp for releasing a holding force holding the continuous webbing (26) while maintaining a certain magnitude of pulling out force when a tensile load greater than a predetermined value is applied so that a shoulder belt is fed out. Furthermore, the predetermined value at which the fuse belt (5) allows the waist belt (26b) to be fed out is set lower than the predetermined value at which the energy absorbing mechanism of the retractor (10) with a clamp allows the shoulder belt (26a) to be fed out.</p> |
