Satellite solar generator panel deployment device

The device allows a pair of solar generator panels (2,3) which are hinged together to be opened out from a folded position into a deployed position via an operating cable (13) passed around a cable disc (11) coupled to the hinge axis (4). The cable disc is separated from the hinge axis after deployment of the solar generator panels by rotation of one of the panels (3) about the hinge axis, to allow rotation of this panel via an electric setting motor fitted to the hinge axis for tracking the position of the sun.
