The material is fed to a mill (3) in which grain size is reduced. Part of the output of the mill is fed again into the mill and part is fed to a first filter (6) and a second filter (7) which is in series with it. Part of the coarse material from the first filter is fed back to the mill. The output from the second filter is removed as a finished product. Part of the fine component from the first filter is fed to the second filter. The coarse output from the second filter is fed back to the first filter.
