PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition for cosmetic or pharmaceutical preparations, useful for the therapy of diseases related to the over regulation of RAR receptors and/or to the excessive administration of vitamin A. SOLUTION: This composition for pharmaceutical preparations and cosmetics contains a retinoid type compound of formula I [Ar is a group of formula II (R5 is H, a halogen, a 1-20C alkyl, etc.,); R1 is CH3 , CH2 OH, OH, etc.; R2 is -(X)n -(CH2 )p -R6 , etc., [R6 is H, a 1-20C alkyl, a 2-20C alkenyl, etc.; X is O, S(O)r ; (n) is 0, 2; (p) is 5-12; (r) is 0-2]] and its salt, and their chiral compounds. The compound of formula I includes 2-hydroxy-4-[7-(1-adamantyl)-6-benzyloxy-2- naphthyl) benzoate. The compound of formula I is contained in a concentration of 0.001-5wt.% based on the whole weight of the composition. The compound of formula I can intestinally, parenterally, locally or ophthalmically be administered at a daily does of 0.01-100mg/kg of a body weight. |
