PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a voice output device which can easily exchange a memory means recorded with voice data and can update the voice data of the memory means with a simple operation by providing this device with a connector connected to an external memory means and a voltage supplying section for supplying voltage to the external memory means in accordance with the detected output of a sensor. SOLUTION: The detected output of a pyroelectric sensor 5 which detects the IR rays radiated by a person is inputted to the voltage supplying section 6 and the output voltage of the voltage supplying section 6 is supplied to the external memory means 3 simply when the external memory means 3 previously storing the voice data is connected to the connector of a device body 1. The external memory means 3 outputs the voice data as a voice signal and the voice signal amplified by an audio amplifier 7 is outputted as the voice from a speaker 9 when the voltage is supplied to the means. Thereby, messages are changed by simple operation of replacing the external memory means 3. Since a voice synthesis IC contg. the memory is used as the external memory means 3, the need for the operation, such as program searching of a cassette tape, is eliminated. |
