The arrangement is intended for supplying a liquid coolant (8) to the working area of a rotary tool, particularly a grinding wheel. It has a spray unit comprising an air nozzle (10) which is connected to an air pressure source (20) and issues into a mixing chamber (4) connected to the coolant supply (9). A supersonic nozzle (16) is arranged at the outlet from the chamber. The assembly may comprise a housing (1) which contains the mixing chamber, connecting to two coaxial bores (2,3) for inserts forming the respective nozzles (10,16) and to a duct (5) leading to a parallel bore (6,7) to the coolant supply.
