PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer electrolyte secondary battery equipped with a positive electrode with which the capacity is increased through the increase of the amount of active material by improving the electron conductiveness between active materials and between active material and electricity collector without adding any electroconductive material such as carbon separately. SOLUTION: A polymer electrolyte secondary battery includes an active material, a positive electrode 2 containing non-aqueous electrolytic solution and polymer for retaining it, and a negative electrode 4 containing active material to occlude and release lithium ions and retaining the non-aqueous electrolytic solution. The arrangement further includes a solid polymer electrolyte layer 5 interposed between the two electrodes 2, 4 and containing non-aqueous electrolytic solution and a polymer for retaining it. The active material in the positive electrode 2 is covered with an electron conducting material. |
