PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the uncontrollable state of the driving speed of a servomotor which is generated after detecting the disconnection of its encoder cable. SOLUTION: A method for controlling a servomotor whose speed is controlled from its encoder signal, wherein detecting means 230, 205, 204 for detecting the disconnection of its encoder cable and outputting a disconnection signal and controlling means 201, 202, 203 for monitoring the inputting of the disconnection signal when the inputting is generated and thereafter too and for continuing the speed control of the servomotor when the inputting of the disconnection signal is eliminated and the cable disconnection is repaired are provided respectively. |
