PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for recognizing reflection in optical burst transmission by making it possible to surely identify signal light even when reflected light and signal light are closely transmitted or superposed in respect to a bidirectional light burst transmission system through an optical fiber. SOLUTION: In a receiving circuit of a master station in the light burst transmission system, reflected light from a slave station based upon a clown optical signal from a master station and signal light based upon an up optical signal from the slave station corresponding to the clown optical signal exist in the same optical fiber. Since the level of the signal light is higher than the level of the reflected light existing around the signal light, the optical signal in the optical fiber is converted into an electric signal by a photoelectric conversion part 11, an output signal from the conversion part 11 is compared with prescribed comparing voltage by a comparing part 12, a signal light recognizing voltage output is generated based upon a signal exceeding the comparing voltage and the head of the signal light is detected by the signal light recognizing voltage output. |
