PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent soiling of an oil removing roller by toner, even if a toner image is erroneously transferred on a transfer belt when a jamming has occurred, by separating the oil removing roller held in contact with the transfer belt when the jamming occurs, from the oil removing roller. SOLUTION: When detecting means judges that the jamming has occurred, firstly the oil removing roller 23 is operated, and the oil removing roller 23 is made to be pressed to the transfer belt 200. Here, the operation of the oil removing roller 23 is performed, by driving the oil removing roller 23 to rotate with driving means before having been brought into press contact with or after being held in press contact with the transfer belt 200. However, when the jamming occurs during the image forming operation, the oil removing roller 23 is separated from the transfer belt 200, before the device is stopped by the jamming detection. Then, the transfer belt cleaning blade 21 is operated as a restart pre-operation, the cleaning belt 21 being separated, is brought into contact with the transfer belt 200, and the toner stuck on the transfer belt 200 is removed. |
