PLANT FOR UTILIZATION OF ROCKET SOLID PROPELLANT CHARGES

FIELD: utilization of propellant charges in discarding and in case of rejecting. SUBSTANCE: cleaning of combustion products is effected without water, thus making it possible to carry out utilization under field conditions in winter seasons; plant may be mobile. Plant has hermetic combustion chamber with gas duct inside which charge to be utilized is burnt in housing of solid propellant rocket engine; temperature and pressure in reservoir are reduced as compared with rated values due to removal of heat from heat-accumulating material by gas duct and protective casing, thus making it possible to reduce overall dimensions of plant with no change in masses of charges to be utilized. Cleaning of accumulated combustion products requires longer time as compared with time required for burning the solid propellant charge in cleaning chamber due to availability of combustion product flow regulator. Neutralization of HC1 in combustion products is effected by injection of powder-like neutralizer (KOH, NaCO) from gas generator fitted with injector or by means of small-sized catalytic dry cleaning filter. Passage of gases through cleaning unit is effected during considerable period of time due to pressure accumulated in reservoir during burning of charge.
