VIRTUAL PASS BAND CHANGE CONTROLLING SYSTEM

PURPOSE: To attain a high speed band change controlling method in which a communication node is not required to have a band control function. CONSTITUTION: When a subscriber line terminating device 3a received the band change request of a virtual pass 6 from a device 2a within a subscriber residence via a communication pass 7a for control, this request is transmitted to a virtual pass band controller 5 via a communication pass 8a for control. The band controller 5 decides whether the band of a requested virtual pass is possible to be change or not and transmits the result to the subscriber line terminating device 3a via the pass 8a. When this response is one showing that it is possible to be changed, the subscriber line terminating device 3a changes the band of the virtual pass and performs the charging processing according to the usage band and usage time of the virtual pass.
