PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the visual angle of a video image of a television receiver constant independently of the distance from the television receiver. SOLUTION: An operation key 5 used to set a ratio of a screen size of a television receiver 1 to a video image size to be displayed on the television receiver 1 is provided to the television receiver 1 and a device varying a horizontal and vertical deflection current depending on the set value of the ratio is provided to the television receiver 1. Or for another method, a circuit converting the reduction of an image signal in response to a set value of the operation key 5 is made up of an A/D converter converting the image signal into digital data, a memory storing the digital data, a digital processor reducing the video image depending on the set value of the operation key 5, a memory storing the result of arithmetic operation of the digital processor, and a D/A converter converting the digital data to be calculated into an analog video signal, and a player 3 operates the operation key 5 to adjust a visual angleθ1 to the nearly constant independently of the play position.
