<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide novel electrophotographic developer capable of maintaining stable triboelectric chargeability over a long period of time even in the case of repetitive copying in a copying machine and capable of giving satisfactory image quality free from fog and the scattering of a toner. SOLUTION: In this developer consisting of a toner and a carrier obtd. by coating particles of a magnetic substance with a resin, the particles are based on Fe2 O3 and contain at least one kind of oxide of element selected from among Li, Be, Na, Mg, K, Ca and Rb as light metals, the toner contains a compd. represented by the formula and this compd. exists on the surface of the toner by 3.0×10<-3> -1.2×10<-2> g/m<2> . In the formula, each of R<1> -R<4> is 1-18C alkyl or benzyl and A<-> is an anion.</p> |
