Satellite unlocking split nut ensuring connection between satellite base and rocket platform

The head of the unlocking split nut (6) ensures connection between the satellite base and a rocket platform. The connection is maintained by sliding pieces which can be displaced an unlocked. The sliding pieces are constituted by an internal piston (10) housed inside a petalled shaft (9) and an unlocking piston (13) in the shape of a sleeve inside the petalled shaft. The petalled shaft is connected by a thread to the split nut. The unlocking body (1) has pyrotechnic initiator (27) in an absorber (25) in its base and a detonating line (29) is placed under the unlocking piston base. The end of the internal piston is screwed to a ferrule (12) sliding inside the petalled shaft. The petalled shaft is hollowed at its base with an axial indentation (30) with sections inclined upwards. The top of the unlocking piston is inserted between the split nut and a lower connecting piece (5a) to the satellite base.
