PURPOSE: To automatically perform setting in a new multi-functional protective relay by using a second nonvolatile memory when the multi-functional protective relay fails by backing up and storing setting information in the second nonvolatile memory attachable and detachable to/from a device main body. CONSTITUTION: A storage medium (nonvolatile memory A26) for storing the setting information used during a normal operation and a nonvolatile second storage medium (nonvolatile memory B27) attachable and detachable to/from a multi-functional protective relay device main body 2 are provided. That is, the attachable and detachable nonvolatile memory B27 is newly provided and setting data are semiautomatically backed up in the attachable and detachable nonvolatile memory B27 when this multi-functional protective relay 2 is normal. When the multi-functional protective relay 2 fails, a user detaches the nonvolatile memory B27 from the multi-functional protective relay 2, mounts it to the new multi-functional protective relay 2 and supplies power. Thus, the stored contents of the nonvolatile memory B27 are automatically written in the new nonvolatile memory A26. |
