PURPOSE:To permit easy removal of winded transfer paper without damaging a photoreceptor by providing a means of detecting the winding of the transfer paper owing to failure in sepn., stopping the photoreceptor by the signal detecting said winding and detaching a cleaning member from the photoreceptor. CONSTITUTION:When transfer paper 10 wraps on a photoreceptor owing to failure in sepn. even when the paper 10 passes through a separating and conveying belt 6, the winding is detected by a sensor 10, and a signal detecting the winding is outputted. A photosensitive drum 1 is stopped by said signal, and solenoids 14, 18 go on to detach the belt 6 and a cleaning plate 17 from the photoreceptor 1. Since the pressing of the winded paper 10 by the blade 7 is obviated, damaging of the drum 1 is averted. Since the belt 6 is also detached from the drum 1, the removal of the winded paper 10 is made easy. |
