The electro-mechanical matrix change system for a changing display, with n lines and m columns of rotating pixels, has at least two display surfaces of different colours. They are turned into their display settings by an electrical setting system, with a data processing control. The pixels (1) are arranged by lines or columns to form n lines of continuous chains (ZK) or m continuous column chains, with their rotary axes aligned on the line or column directions. The continuous chains (ZK) are carried by two rotating rollers (Wa), of which at least one roller is powered. The setting system has an electro-magnet or electro-motor as a setting unit for each continuous chain (ZK).
